Small but mighty. One of the many paintings inspired by my solo visit to Berlin and Berghain. Painted thinking of these strange abnormal looking figures I saw entering and exiting, in the middle of the night. The energy of the building had a pulsating red and black light. Painted listening to dark techno against and feeling the emotions I felt standing in front of this large concrete building, alone in Berlin.
The black marks coming out the door represent the loud pounding music I could hear even from the back of the que, not only the music but also the energy, the dark intense atmosphere.
